Privacy policy
In effect from 14 August 2026
This privacy policy describes what happens to the details you send us through the inquiry form on the Psí hotel Chýně website. It describes how the site actually works, not generic phrases.
Who processes your data
The data controller is Eva J., Březová 244, 253 03 Chýně. Write to info@psihotelchyne.cz or call 318 318 945. No other company runs Psí hotel Chýně or its website. Business ID (IČO) of the controller: 73406155.
What we store about you
Only what you fill in yourself:
- your name
- phone number
- email address
- the dates of the stay and the number of dogs
- the message you write to us (your dog's routine, for example)
- the language you sent the enquiry in, and the time you sent it
We do not store your IP address with the enquiry and we do not track you across other websites. Site traffic is measured separately and anonymously, and the server keeps its own operational log; both are described below.
Why we need it
So that we can reply, check the dates and arrange the stay. Without a name and a contact we cannot get back to you. The legal basis is the steps taken before entering into a contract, which your enquiry begins; we neither need nor ask for your consent.
How long we keep it
An inquiry that did not turn into a stay is deleted after 6 months. Contact details for a stay that took place are deleted 3 years after it ends. The book of receipts, the record of when a stay took place and what it cost, has to be kept for 10 years as tax evidence; after the first three years it holds only the name, the dates and the amount, not the phone number or the email. The server does the deleting itself, by date - it does not depend on anyone remembering.
Who we share it with
Nobody. Your details remain on our own server in the Czech Republic. The website does not work with any advertising service, does not use Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics, and sends your details nowhere. We measure traffic ourselves on the same server.
Where it is stored
On our own server here, not in someone else's cloud service. Only the hotel owner can reach the administration, through a password.
Cookies
The website does not store any tracking cookies in your browser, so it does not need a consent banner. Neither does the traffic measurement described below use them. The website stores only two small things in your browser: whether you want it in light or dark mode, and, until the window is closed, the time of your arrival and the fact that the chat has already offered you help, so the offer is not repeated. None of this is sent anywhere and you can delete it at any time along with the site's data.
Traffic measurement
To know whether people find our website and what interests them, we count visits using a program running on the same server as the website. It is not Google Analytics or any other third-party service, and no data leaves the server. Only the following is stored:
- which page was opened and when
- where you came from, meaning a search engine or a link on another website
- browser, operating system and device type
- screen resolution and browser language
- country, region and city derived from your IP address; the IP address itself is not stored
- none of this is linked to your name or to an enquiry you sent
The measurement stores nothing in your browser, no cookies and no other traces, so the website does not need consent for it. When you have Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control (GPC) enabled in your browser, the measurement script is not loaded at all and we record neither the visit nor the clicks.
Server operational log
The site runs on our own server, which keeps an operational log of every request: the IP address, the date and time, the address opened, where you came from, the browser identification and the server's response. We need it to run the site and to keep it safe, for example to spot an attack or a fault. The log is deleted after 14 days and is not linked to your enquiry. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the site securely.
Your rights
Regarding your data, you have the right to:
- know what we hold about you and receive a copy
- have anything incorrect corrected
- have it deleted
- restrict the processing or object to it
- withdraw the enquiry, we then delete it and do not work with it further
